About this work

This work belongs to the series "Knife Flower Perfume". This was the first solo exhibition of Bran Sólo, held at Kipfer&Lover, Malaga (Spain) in 2014, and whose more than 30 original works were sold in less than 48 hours.
The series is inspired by the work "Romancero Gitano" by Spanish writer and poet Federico García Lorca.

It deals with stories of love, heartbreak, courage, blood and manhood of bandits, marauders and characters from the Castilian popular tradition of the early 20th century and during the Spanish civil war.

Several well-known Spanish bandits are recognized in the works, such as Jaume El Barbut, El Pernales or even Curro Jiménez, and each one has his own story written in white line on their bodies, sometimes mixed with the author's own story.

Circle in the throat: Anxiety.

Narwhal: Narwhals cannot kiss each other.

Shipwreck: The frustration of unrequited love.
